There is such a thing - TED,www.ted.com. Be curious.
They run great conferences all over the world. Interesting people perform there - scientists, businessmen, politicians, artists, children, inventors, comedians.
You watch these performances because they are amazing. The organizer manages to create an atmosphere that will involve you, even if the topic of the speech has never interested you. Here, for example, is one of my favorite talks:

TED commandments.
- You shouldn't show your regular chips
- You should have a big dream, demonstrate amazing new things and share what no one has ever shared
- You should be curious and passionate.
- You should tell the Story
- You should comment freely on other speakers for the sake of blessed connection and exquisite contradiction of opinions
- You shouldn't flaunt your ego. Be vulnerable. Talk about both successes and failures
- You should not sell from the stage: neither a company, nor products, nor books, nor profitable investments. Otherwise you will be thrown into the darkness of the night
- You should remember every minute: Laughter is good
- You shouldn't read your speech
- You shouldn't steal time from those who follow you
