In each era, there were individuals who established their own rules. Some went with the flow in the shadow of other people's authorities and remained unknown forever, but there were others - those who, despite everything, overcame obstacles and circumstances.
Those who chose action as their credo, not empty words. Those who knew how to be, and not seem! It is this slogan Esse quam vederi - To be, not to seem, that we chose for our journey.
Following in the footsteps of such people, we paved the way for our next test drive, which took place in Slovenia - a unique place both in terms of nature and in terms of brilliant personalities who inspire people to this day.
The guests spent the first night in the private villa of the former Yugoslav president, a unique personality - Josip Broz Tito, who managed to make tiny socialist Yugoslavia a state with the highest standard of living in Europe.
The test drive started from Lake Bled - one of the most famous fashionable historical resorts in Slovenia. Stunning views, the Triglav peak, an ancient castle on a rock, white swans and delicious food attract not only a huge number of tourists, but also residents of Ljubljana on weekends - the place is popular with both young people and married couples.
The first stop was a training base in the mountains - Pokljuka - the place where the Biathlon World Cup takes place. The journalists not only enjoyed the atmosphere of the ski resort, but also tried their hand at biathlon.
After Pokljuka, the route passed through mountains and serpentines and through the extraordinary emerald Soča River. We chose the most beautiful place as one of the photo points - “Bridge-on-Soce”. The river in this place spreads throughout the entire valley, the water is calm, and the matte emerald color gains strength and richness.
Two hours later, from winter, guests found themselves in a sunny and warm spring with blooming acacias, daffodils and almond trees. The road went down to the sea and several times the territory of Slovenia was replaced by Italy. Vineyards, castles, embankments and seascapes changed the mood and it already seemed that the journey began not in the morning, but several days ago.
One of the final points was Miramare Castle in the medieval Scottish style, built on a rock protruding into the Adriatic Sea in the vicinity of Trieste.
After the castle, the journalists arrived in Portorož, a popular seaside resort on the Gulf of Piran, the pearl of the Adriatic Sea. During dinner, I met another interesting person - the famous Italian composer and violinist Giuseppe Tartini. The restaurant was located right in the building of the museum of the famous composer.
And the next day, on the way to Ljubljana, the capital of Slovenia, the journalists visited Predjama Castle and the extraordinary karst caves, 20,570 meters long, as if created on another planet. This distance can be covered by a special train that runs inside the caves. We organized an exclusive excursion for our guests.
In two days we drove almost 500 kilometers, visited winter and summer, the mountains and the sea, were filled with impressions for several months ahead and, of course, enjoyed driving a beautiful car.
