Eventum Premo

The coolest event agency in the world

Eventum Premo became a fairly well-known event company in 2006, after publishingthe first book about organizing eventsand a number of high-profile projects. But we are wondering - who is leading in foreign markets? And we did some research.

If you're driving a nice new car, you don't feel the speed. Excellent sound insulation - you don't hear road noise. Excellent suspension and no feeling of shaking. Fields and cozy houses float past... You drink coffee, enjoy the peaceful landscape, in other words - everything is fine, a complete buzz. But this feeling of comfort can be deceptive - it seems to you that you are not eating fast, although you are already doing 120 km/h instead of the required 60... You may get into an accident, and the air bag will not save you.

To ensure that overall comfort does not distort your attention, the car has instruments that help you monitor the condition of your car. A convenient invention.

It's no secret that the Russian events market lives in a kind of vacuum. Companies do not publish reliable reports and cannot compare themselves and their competitors. Are we a leading company or an outsider? Has our turnover grown so much because we are great, or has the entire market grown? How have your competitors grown? We can guess, but we don't know for sure.

Unfortunately, I don’t know if any research has been conducted on the Russian event management market. That would be interesting. Last year, our company, on its own initiative, conducted a telephone survey to find out which of the event organizers was the most famous, “by word of mouth.” This may not be a serious rating, but, nevertheless, this is the first experience in compiling a rating of players in the Russian event market.

What about abroad? Maybe abroad will help us?
You will be surprised. Try to find the TOP 10 largest event agencies in the world. Or the TOP100 largest event agencies in the world. You will encounter an unexpected problem. Finding a global rating or some understandable national rating of event agencies is not so easy. The answer to the question - who is the coolest here - is not obvious.

On the site specialevent.com, which is significant, I still found a rating. Since I do not have written permission to publish it, I will not publish it. With some persistence, you will find it yourself.
The result of the rating analysis is interesting. Turns out,

• largest company – George P. Johnson Co hosts approximately 4,100 events per year. Those. 11 events per day
• The average event budget of these leading companies is about $165 thousand. (for how many people – I don’t know)
• The average number of events is about 60 per year (i.e. 2 per week)
• Average turnover per year is between $6 and $15 million.
• The smallest company in terms of turnover, yet included in the rating, has a turnover of only $3 million, the largest - 250 million.
• One of the TOP50 companies does only 5 events a year. But their average budget is almost $6 million.

Personally, I think that if Russian (Indian, Chinese, Brazilian) agencies were included in the study, then in terms of financial indicators and quality level several companies would be included in this rating. We have something to be proud of, we know and can do a lot.
Here you go. I think that now the quantitative indicators for the slogan “catch up and overtake America” are clearer for event company leaders; there is something to strive for and something to be proud of.

Be careful while driving and watch your instruments!
