On June 8–10, 2006, the Meeting of Finance Ministers of the G8 countries—Russia, Germany, Japan, France, Canada, Italy, the United States, and the United Kingdom—was held in Saint Petersburg. The event was the second in a series of meetings of the Finance Ministers and preceded the Summit of the G8 Heads of State. PREMO agency organized the official press center for the Meeting at the Saint Petersburg Hotel.
