On June 6, a master class was held by Dr. Joe Goldblatt, an unparalleled expert in event management and a professor at Queen Margaret University in Edinburgh. Throughout the day, the master shared his invaluable experience with representatives of agencies, corporations, and the press. Dr. Goldblatt spoke about the latest trends in event management and event marketing, new technologies used in preparing and staging events, and the impact special events can have on their surroundings. The author’s case studies were also reviewed, including major events Dr. Goldblatt helped organize, such as the inauguration of George H. W. Bush and the opening of the Taj Mahal Casino by Donald Trump. Russia’s most important upcoming event — the Sochi Olympic Games — was also discussed. At the end of the master class, each participant received a certificate signed by the guru.
